About Linda Coatsworth

An Indiana native, and a Purdue graduate, Linda moved to Atlanta in 1971 working with Eastern Airlines as a flight attendant. In 1975 she started her career with a commercial photo lab and served in that industry until she retired in 2012. She has always loved photography, inherited from her father in their darkroom at home.

As soon as she got her first Macro lens, she was hooked. She has exhibited in local and regional galleries. She is a member of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association, the Avondale Estates Art Guild, the Booth Photography Guild, and GNPA.

Her favorite motto is from Robert Bresson, a French film director, - “Make visible what, without you, might perhaps never have been seen”. And as Ansel Adams said, (found in his book Ansel Adams an Autobiography), “I’m addicted to the found object”. Linda’s found objects are Star Magnolia pieces and parts, Butterfly Milkweed fluffs, pieces and parts, as well as the seed pods from the Golden Raintree, and anything else in nature that one would just walk right by.
